Here is some closer pictures of the card I created. I made it for the latest "Wonderful Wednesday Challenge" on the Kraftin Kimmie Challenge Blog. I really love their stamps. They are fun to colour, because of all the details on them.
I used my Strawberry Pirate stamp. I stamped her on watercolour paper with Archival Ink. I then watercoloured her with my Distress Inks and my watercolour pencils. I have been loving this method of colouring lately. I love my Copics, but don't have very many, so it makes it harder to colour and blend images. I then fussy cut her out and used some paper from an older American Crafts 6x6 paper pad to create the background. I was inspired by one of Amy R, Prairie Paper & Ink on YouTube cards that she created using paper to make a sunburst on her card. I didn't make a sun burst, I just put the pieces diagonally. I then used one of my new dies to cut out the lacy circles behind her and doodled around the edge to finish it off. The inside I used the pirate flag that comes with the Strawberry Pirate and used my Lawn Fawn "Jessie's ABCs" to create the sentiment on the inside. I used Bazzill Cardstock again for the base.
One of my goals is to slowly create a stock pile of cards, so that when I need one, I am not scrambling at the last minute to make one (which is the norm for me ha ha). This will make my life a little easier.
On the Bryar front, I have been getting in the cloth diapers I am buying for her. I am very exciting to go this route, 1- because of the amount I will save on diapers and garbage tags (we have to pay $2.50 per bag of garbage to have it picked up on garbage day). 2- because it is better for the environment and 3- because the diapers are so cute and colourful! I have been buying mine in gently used condition because the brand that fits Bryar's skinny legs and tush best are expensive. I am hoping once I get into the swing of things and figure it out more, I can share my cloth diaper experience with you all. :)
Adorable!! Thanks for playing with us at KKS :)
